The Peterborough Pirates were an English ice hockey team. They were established in 1982. The club played in the top-tier British Hockey League from 1985 to 1995, with the exception of the 1986-87 season they spent in the Division One competition. Peterborough later went on to compete in the second-level British National League. The Pirates finally folded in April 2002, when directors founded a new team Peterborough Phantoms, who play in the EPIHL.
