The New Reform Calendar (NRC) is a proposed reform to the Gregorian calendar. It has been developed since 1966 by Ferenc Onodi. The NRC shares most features with the 2016 revision of the Hanke-Henry Permanent Calendar: a 30:30:31 quarter layout, Monday start of the week and quarter and (monthliess) leap week at the end of the year. It does not use the effective ISO leap rule, but adds a 53rd week (LW) whenever the difference to the Gregorian calendar reaches 7 (or 8) days. The date notation is similar to ISO week dates, but without the literal ‘W’ before the week number and LW is ‘00’ instead of ‘53’. The names of the months remains unchanged, though their lengths are made to fit a regular scheme.
