Candless († 1903 PD) was a Grayson citizen and a member of the Grayson Space Navy. He was the father of Jamie Candless and was killed during the Battle of Blackbird aboard GNS Covington. His death was an inspiration for his son to trust Honor Harrington's leadership and volunteer to become one of her personal armsmen. (HH4)
