Yukiyasha (literally Snow Demon) is the main antagonist of the Fushigi Yugi light novel Yukiyasha Den, and also the central plot device. It is a demon, according to local legend (which later turns out to be true), coming from the snow mountains at the end of each full moon. It takes the virgin sacrifice the Yukigase villagers offer to "him", in exchange for a guaranteed safety.
