The Barrayaran Imperium was the interstellar, interplanetary state composed of the planets Barrayar, Komarr, and Sergyar. It was created during the rule of the Barrayaran Emperor Ezar Vorbarra and its central government was a continuation of the traditional Barrayaran government. Ezar's grandson Gregor Vorbarra was the second interstellar ruler of the Barrayaran Imperium. The military arm of the Imperium was the Barrayaran Imperial Service.
