King Cecrops was ruler of Attica. In an unknown conflict with Hercules, Cecrops fell off a cliff and died. Before he died, he swore vengeance on Hercules. Later, Sokar used a bust of Cecrops and some mirrors to create a "ghost" of Cecrops to haunt Hercules. Hercules saw through the trick and defeated Sokar.
