The 1996 released '82 Corvette Stingray is a recasting of the Power Command series. It had its rear spoiler removed and the power feature taken out. This casting has always had opaque windows. This is casting is modeled after the '78 to '82 models. However, Corvette's 1982 models were left over '81's. They featured a large wraparound rear window and front area that has more flare and ground effect along with a flared up rear spoiler. It can be confused with the casting Corvette Stingray (1976). The '76 is similar to the '74 to '77 models.
