The Adelaide class perimeter action ship was a type of starship on active duty in Starfleet during the late 23rd and early 24th centuries. The Adelaide class ship is identical to an A-variant Akula subclass perimeter action ship, albeit minus a Bia deflector pod assembly. The class was approved for construction in 2293 and all ten planned hulls were constructed by 2296. (Dockyard Review)
