A lightsaber was the weapon used by both the Jedi and the Sith. They could cut into anything and deflect bolts. They were powered by an energy crystal, which also controlled the color of the lightsaber blade. Common Jedi colors were blue and green, Jedi Master Mace Windu wielded a lightsaber with a violet blade. Sith Lords were always equipped with red blades. The Jedi Master Count Dooku had a curved lightsaber hilt, which was uncommon for both Jedi and Sith.
