In 2311, holding the rank of Lieutenant, she served as chief engineer aboard the flagship Tomed. When the containment field around the quantum singularity warp drive began to break down aboard the vessel, Elvia stayed behind with her two best engineers, Alira T'Sil and Rennis Valin, in order to try to stop the breakdown. They were eventually overpowered by a Starfleet Special Operations team. Elvia was killed when John Harriman exploded a door. (ST - The Lost Era novel: Serpents Among the Ruins)
