The Blizzard became the second team in MJHL history to win five straight Turnbull Cups. In Anavet Cup play, the Blizzard did not fare as good, winning only once in 2002. That earned them the right to compete in Royal Bank Cup, where they finished the round robin tournament with a 2-2 record. In the semi-final they defeated the Chilliwack Chiefs 4-3, but lost in the final to the Halifax Oland Exports 3-1.
