The Fate was an armed freighter formerly belonging to the Buban. In November 1508 BCE (reference stardate -35/0811), it, along with the Revenge were stolen by the Orion slaves Ombrey and Maark. This event became the Orion Dawn legend, and lead to the birth of Orion piracy. (FASA RPG module: The Orions: Book of Common Knowledge) It is not known if the Fate received its name before or after the theft.
