Marji Campi has had a long career as an actress on the stage and television since the 1960s. Quite often in comedy roles, she appeared in this context in two episodes of the Coronation Street spin-off Pardon the Expression in 1965 as shop assistant Gladys Cheeseborough (credited as "Margery Campi"). From 1984 to 1987 she appeared in the "parent" programme in the recurring role of Dulcie Froggatt, a "bit on the side" for Jack Duckworth who, to his horror, found out that he inadvertently shared his mistress with son Terry.
