Super Smash Bros. Ages (also referred to by shorthands as Smash Ages, Smash A, SSBA, Sm5sh, Smash 5, SSB5, and SSB Ages) is an upcoming sequel to Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS. It was revealed that the sequel was in pre-development during the May Nintendo Direct in 2018. It has been revealed that a first look trailer will be released during the E3 Conference of 2018. It has an expected release date of summer 2022 and will be available on the Nintendo Switch. Soon after all the game's DLC had been released, the development team announced the plan to not only port the game to Nintendo's next console, but that they planned to release the next game via paid expansion packs.
