The 2008 Cool City Customs 200 was a Craftsman Truck Series event held at Michigan International Speedway on June 14, 2008. In the closest finish in series history (.005 seconds), Erik Darnell fended off Johnny Benson, Jr. for the victory. It was Darnell's first victory in more than a year and just his second career triumph. A three-wide battle for third put Scott Speed there. Meanwhile, Benson took the points lead amongst some controversy when previous leader Ron Hornaday, Jr. was aggressively spun by Kyle Busch while racing on the last lap. Hornaday was 23rd, dropping to third in points as Todd Bodine (4th) now sat 15 markers behind Benson.
