Captain D. F. Maksimenko is the commander of the Search-2 group of the Security Bureau of Ukraine, mentioned in a document in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl. Acting on orders of Colonel V. M. Kruchelnikov, the group conducted a thorough investigation into the activities at the Agroprom Research Institute from May 12 to May 25 as part of an ongoing Project Truth. This revealed that the ARI was in fact a front for clandestine research conducted in the Chernobyl Zone of Alienation. Also, he has a supporting role in S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Northern Passage book.
