Ambassador Ewu represented the Inari of Djana on the Federation Council in 2271. He did not represent the neighboring Djanai, who had refrained from politics. An attempt to kidnap him failed, and Uhura was accidentally kidnapped instead, along with Sarek. (TOS novel: The Lost Years)
