The club was founded in 1982 as a replacement to EHC 70 München and started out playing in the Bavarian Landesliga in 1983-84. The club was unable to participate in the league in 1982-83 due to not meeting registration deadlines set by the Bavarian federation. The club became the Maddogs München for 1994-95 and served as a founding member of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. However, the Maddogs withdrew from the league on December 18, 1994 and declared bankruptcy, which led to having their results erased from the standings.
