A glacial age, also known as an ice age, is a period when a planet is covered in huge glaciers. Such an event almost wiped out the population of Sigma Draconis VI around 50,000 years ago. (TOS: "Spock's Brain" ) The Therinian Ice Age was one example. (VOY: "The Q and the Grey")
