He is probably best known for playing Captain Logan, Ted "Theodore" Logan's father, in Bill & Ted's Excellent Adventure (with Bernie Casey, Dan Shor, Jane Wiedlin, and Rod Loomis) and Bill & Ted's Bogus Journey, which also starred DS9 guest star William Sadler. In Break Up (1998), he starred with Steven Weber, Michael G. Hagerty and Jack Shearer. He is also a founding member of South Coast Repertory Theater, in Costa Mesa, California.
