Neapolis contains buildings from the 16th century onwards, built during the rule of the Kings of Carantia and Mauria. The city is essentially Baroque in character, with elements of Mannerist, Neo-Classical and Modern architecture in selected areas, though Ruthene-Maurian War left major scars on the city. Neapolis is Thracia's major economic, industrial, commercial and political centre, and a major transportation hub for the rest of the country its commercial port is also of great importance for the empire and the northeastern continental merchant.
