Previously, Maar had performed on Return to Oz (with Brian Henson) and served as the voice and performance model for the Noid in the stop-motion Domino's Pizza commercials of the 1980s. His other acting credits include on-camera roles in the genre films The Blob, Dead Heat, and Masters of the Universe (where he portrayed Saurod).
