The Jedi Remnant was created by the Jedi Exile shortly before she vanished into the Unknown Regions. The intent was to rebuild the Jedi Order from the handful of Jedi that survived the First Jedi Purge. With the lack of Jedi Masters, it fell upon these last Jedi to find and train many more, whilst the lessons of the recent wars ensured that the Jedi Remnant had to keep an eye on any of their Jedi for signs of the dark side. Fortunately, despite the destruction of many Jedi resources the knowledge in Amara's repositories remained intact, and with its long life, Amara kept the Jedi Remnant in line for its entire existence.
