Münchener Freiheit, sometimes known simply as just Freiheit, is a German pop-rock band that formed in the early 1980s. Their biggest hit is Keeping The Dream Alive, which is mainly played at about Christmas time and can be found on many Christmas compilation albums due to its December release. Freiheit performed at the Eurovision Song Contest 1993 for their home country, Germany, with the song Viel zu weit. They scored just 16 points overall and finishing 18th. Since then the band lineup has changed and they have released many singles and albums.
