Roland "Rollie" Stingwell is an old money millionaire builder (a man of power) who constructed a controversial dam that destroyed many local farmers. Now the sole director of the area's water and power company, Rollie hired Emerson Cod over a decade ago to follow Lila, Rollie's then-lover. However, Emerson wound up having an affair with Lila, and Rollie never forgave him.
