There are many fictional locations in The Railway Series of books by Rev. W. Awdry and his son Christopher. This is a summary of the locations as they appear in The Railway Series books. Awdry as the setting for his Railway Series books. It is situated between the Isle of Man and the mainland at Barrow-in-Furness in Cumbria. The capital is Suddery, although the largest town is now Tidmouth.
