McCabe was a P-Sec officer on the Aegis VII Colony. He was partnered with his friend Officer Jones. The two officers worked together on a number of cases, with the most notable ones being the investigation of the extraction site massacre and the tallying of the dead at P-Sec HQ. He was killed during the Necromorph invasion of the colony and was in the process of being transformed into one when Abraham Neumann and Marla Janssen fled the area.
