Daidoji Wasutsubo was one of the greatest commanders in the history of Rokugan, and faced Matsu Kijoruko in the Seven Day Battle. Finally the two commanders faced eachother in a duel, Kijoruko proving to be the victor, but she succumbed to the wounds dealt to her by Wasutsubo in the duel moments later. A shrine was erected in the two commanders memory at the place where they fell in the Valley of the Two Generals.
