Jim Baldwin is a mundane man who is married to Mary Baldwin. He is the father of Sean Baldwin and Karen Baldwin and adoptive father of David Baldwin. He is a professor of physics at the University of Miami. He and his family helped save Xanth from overexposure of magic dust by containing Happy Bottom after being stranded there. They traveled with Nimby and Chlorine. Jim helps Xanthians when they need to work in Mundania.
