There are two types of Offense, Physical and Spiritual. Each effects abilities of its respective type. Offense increases your chance to hit the opponent, and whether you hit or not is calculated based on some element of chance, your opponent's Defense, and your Offense. Offense can be crucial to some builds or worthless to others. The main method of gaining Offense is to use equipment that has bonuses to this statistic. Pre-Patch Equipment often has much more Offense then Post-Patch equipment, as well as some of it having a bonus to your percent of offense rather then a static number.
