Proto-Nephilim was an early try to create Nephilim by The Cabal. After the experiment didn't turn out as expected, Pieter Van Eckhardt told Kristina Boaz to destroy it, but she did not. In 2003, Kurtis Trent killed the Proto-Nephilim with his Periapt Shard.
