17 (Coningsby) Squadron is part of the Air Cadet Organisation in the East Midlands. The Squadron is part of Trent Wing. Originally, the squadron was 1265 DF, a detached flight of 1265 (Horncastle) Squadron. The detached flight was formed in January 2010, with 17 Squadron being officially stood up in June 2011.
