Metal Slug STG is a game released by SNK Playmore for cellphones. Instead of a regular Run N' Gun, this game is actually a scrolling Shoot'em Up. Because of this, the characters use the jetpacks for flying, and the Slug Flyer in some sections. Aside from that, it still uses the common mechanisms of the Metal Slug series.
