St. Denis was a city on the east coast of the United States of Atlantis. It was originally a French settlement, until the French and Spanish War, when it passed into British hands. Ironically, a dozen years later, a French man-of-war landed troops at St. Denis after France joined the rebelling Atlanteans during the Atlantean War of Independence.
