Noane held the position for twenty-three years until her death in 973 NE. She was Kirin Melway's successor and Tamra Ospenya's predecessor. Noane was a weak Amyrlin although not as weak as her predecessor Kirin, but like her she managed to pave the way for a stronger one to follow her.
