The dogfight in the Hudalla system occurred in 4 ABY shortly before the Battle of Endor when the Rebel Alliance discovered a meeting of the Imperial Navy. Corona Squadron was ordered to survey the system, and five of their X-wings waited for several days to gather intelligence. The Empire suspected a Rebel presence, and sent four TIE/IN interceptors to root them out. Admiral Piett gave Commander Ciena Ree secret orders to let at least one of the Rebels escape. The Rebel pilots noticed the approaching starfighters, and began preparations to jump to hyperspace.
