Tuggle were carnivorous animals native to the planet Toola and used by the Whiphids to draw their sledges. They were lightly colored, long, thin animals with four short powerful legs and covered with sleek thick fur. They were very strong animals for their size. Six tuggle tethered to a sledge in parallel could pull two Whiphid and up to 50 kilos of equipment. In the wild, tuggle were pack animals and they used their great stamina to drive down their prey. Domesticated animals were capable of pulling a sledge all day with only a couple of breaks, if fed correctly for several days at a time.
