Initially, the European Championship was featured on both EUWC and RBW Events. At RBW, it was the Heavyweight Title since 2004 and would be contested at all RBW events in its territory of Europe. It would also be featured on EUWC Events as the European Championship. When RBW was dissolved in 2005, majority of the RBW Roster and the RBW Championship arrived full-time in the EUWC, when the RBW Heavyweight Championship was finally christened the EUWC European Championship.
