In Canada, the Public Sector Chief Information Officer (CIO) Council has a National Sub-Committee on Information Protection (NCSIP). This group, comprised of representatives from the federal government, provincial CIO offices and municipalities, is a forum for exchanging information and sharing best practices. Industry Canada works with this group to obtain views and input to its policy work in the area of security.
