Assault Formation V was a Breen starship tactic. A wing would arrange itself into a roughly V-shape with the point towards the target. The largest ship in the wing took point with a staggered line of small and larger ships behind it. The formation would then smash into the enemy hoping to scatter its front line. If it succeeded the formation would break apart with ships pursuing individual targets. (The Dominion War Sourcebook: The Fires of Armageddon)
