They were kept on large bookshelves in his room, Classroom 4F on the fourth floor of Hogwarts Castle. During one of Harry Potter and Remus Lupin's private lessons, Hermione Granger studied the books and learnt that they could obtain Fairy wings for their Potions class at Hogsmeade, near the Shrieking Shack.
