There are set prayers for awakening, taking a bath, for midday and going to bed. There are meal prayers, and one may pray while travelling. The most important prayer is Asato ma, lead us from darkness to light. Hindus also have a rosary, called a japamala; they may repeat any mantra or names of God using the Japamala. There are also set prayers to be used in the temple, the place of worship. In the normal course of events, devout Hindus would be praying ceaselessly, all day long, even while they work. Anything offered to God is a prayer.
