A convenient spot to mine it is Alphonse's Passage near the Highgrove Camp in Emprise du Lion. Also in Emprise du Lion, on the eastern side of the restored Judicael's Crossing, the path from Pools of the Sun toward Leotine's Steward is littered with Silverite. Frostback basin is, undeniably, filled with silverite.
