Earl Thomas III (born May 7, 1989) is an American football safety for the Seattle Seahawks of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the University of Texas and received All-American honors. He was drafted by the Seahawks with the 14th overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft. Thomas and the other Seahawks' defensive backs are collectively known as the Legion of Boom.
