The Bullet Clear is active for a deceptively long time, and so should be used early in a fireball's approach. It is too slow to be used in a combo via conventional means, but Charlie's jumping heavy attacks provide enough time for Bullet Clear to combo afterwards. Outside of combos, Bullet Clear is a relatively useful tool to pressure the opponent.
