The Emissary of Xiphos is a boss in Dragon Quest Swords: The Masked Queen and the Tower of Mirrors. He guards the lookout point of Arondight Heights. He somewhat resembles a gryphon. The Emissary attacks by flying at the Hero and his companion, and by throwing rocks and monsters at them. Exactly what message the Emissary is intended to convey goes unspecified, but his dialogue from the second encounter on suggests that he relies on or is making use of Xiphos's power, which allows him to be reincarnated eternally.
