Jason Avery is a character portrayed by Leonard Roberts in the ABC crime series Castle. Avery was an FBI agent who was partnered with expert profiler Jordan Shaw, maintaining a good friendship with her as well as an effective professional dynamic. He worked with the team from the 12th Precinct while investigating serial killer Scott Dunn, although he did miss out on Dunn's capture, as he was investigating a fake trap that Dunn had set for them.
