The Hebrew noun tzitzit (Hebrew: ציצית) (Biblical and Middle Eastern pronunciation: ṣiṣith; Yiddish pronunciation: tzitzis) is the name for specially knotted ritual fringes worn by observant Jews. Tzitzit are attached to the four corners of the tallit (prayer shawl) and tallit katan.
