The lightrapier, a specialized form of lightsaber, was the preferred weapon of the Yiang. It was longer than the average lightsaber, and the hilt was usually much smaller. This addition allowed the bearer to utilize faster jabs and swings, but gave up most of its power. The technology in the lightrapier was quite different from other light-weapons. It used a series of cortosis-coated mirrors to reflect the beam in several directions; this technology was lost after the Yiang died out.
