Zan periculi was a type of flower native to the Ferengi world of Lappa IV. DaiMon Tog attempted to woo Lwaxana Troi with a bouquet of zan periculi in 2366. (TNG episode: "Ménage à Troi") Zan periculi were grown on the grounds of the prison on Darona. (TNG novel: The Battle of Betazed) Curiously, these Ferengi flowers found their way to the Betazed system by 2358, well before formal first contact between the Ferengi and the Federation in 2364.
